Dilation Rod 4 to 7 mm, 19 cm - 7-1/2˝
The dilation rod opens a tract in graduated steps rather than forcing it in one, and is supplied in 4, 5, 6 and 7 mm on a 19 cm shaft. Each surgical dilator has a gently curved, highly polished tip that follows the passage and slides on tissue instead of snagging it, so the step up from one diameter to the next stays controlled. Pick your diameter from the dropdown. Bulk discounts apply on multi-piece and full-set orders.
Why Surgeons Choose It
- Four diameters step up in 1 mm increments for controlled dilation
- Curved tip follows the tract instead of pushing against its wall
- Mirror-polished working end slides on tissue without snagging
- Knurled handle keeps grip through gloves and irrigation
- 19 cm length reaches without the handle crowding the entry point

Built for Repeated Use
Turned and ground from AISI 420 martensitic stainless steel, hardened so the slim shaft stays straight under load and the tip keeps its profile. The working end is mirror-polished to reduce drag on tissue, while the handle is left satin to cut glare and hold a grip. Full autoclave cycles at 134 °C cause no distortion or pitting.
Direct From the Manufacturer
We manufacture this instrument in our own Sialkot workshop and sell straight to surgeons, clinics, hospitals and distributors, so there is no importer margin in the price. Every rod is gauge-checked for diameter and straightness before dispatch and carries a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Ask for bulk pricing on multi-piece and full-set orders, and for OEM laser marking on volume quantities.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which diameter do I start with?
The smallest that passes without force, usually 4 mm, then step up one rod at a time. Skipping sizes is what tears a tract.
Do I need all four?
For graduated dilation, yes. The point of the set is the 1 mm steps; a single rod only works if the tract is already close to that diameter.
Why is the tip curved?
So it follows the natural line of the passage. A straight tip tends to press on the wall and stop, which tempts the user to push harder.
Is the whole rod polished?
The working end is mirror-polished to reduce drag. The handle is left satin so it does not glare and does not slip in a wet glove.
Do you supply the four sizes as a set?
Yes. Pick each diameter from the dropdown and tell us it is a set order; bulk discounts apply on multi-piece and full-set quantities.
Is it supplied sterile?
No. It ships clean and non-sterile, ready for your own cleaning and autoclave cycle at 134 °C before first use.
