Tessier Osteotome 10 to 30 mm, 20.5 cm - 8˝
The Tessier osteotome is the straight-bladed workhorse of craniofacial surgery, offered here in 10, 15, 20 and 30 mm blade widths on the long 20.5 cm pattern. A solid round grip and hexagonal neck put the mallet force straight down the blade axis, so a Le Fort osteotomy tracks where it is started instead of wandering across the cortex. Four widths, one page: pick yours from the dropdown. Bulk discounts apply on multi-piece and full-set orders.
Why Surgeons Choose It
- Four blade widths cover fine interosseous cuts up to wide Le Fort osteotomies
- 20.5 cm reach keeps the hand and mallet clear of deep retraction
- Hexagonal neck stops the blade rolling in the hand mid-strike
- Solid one-piece body transmits mallet force without flex or rebound
- Ground bevel starts the cut cleanly on hard cortical bone

Built for Repeated Use
Forged and ground from AISI 420 martensitic stainless steel, hardened so the edge survives repeated mallet work on cortical bone and the shaft does not take a set. The satin finish resists staining and cuts glare under operating lights, and the one-piece body has no joint to loosen or trap debris. Full autoclave cycles at 134 °C cause no distortion or pitting.
Direct From the Manufacturer
We manufacture this instrument in our own Sialkot workshop and sell straight to surgeons, clinics, hospitals and distributors, so there is no importer margin in the price. Every piece is inspected and edge-checked before dispatch and carries a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Ask for bulk pricing on multi-piece and full-set orders, and for OEM laser marking on volume quantities.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which blade width should I start with?
10 and 15 mm cover most interosseous and rim cuts; 20 and 30 mm are for long, straight osteotomies where you want the cut to carry across in fewer passes.
Is the shorter 16 cm version on this page?
No. The short-pattern Tessier osteotome is a different body and has its own page, with 10 and 15 mm blades in straight and curved.
Straight or curved: which do I need?
Straight for flat and accessible bone surfaces. Choose the curved Tessier osteotome where the blade has to follow a contour or reach around a convexity.
Can the edge be resharpened?
Yes, by a competent instrument workshop. The hardened steel regrinds well; keeping the original bevel angle matters more than absolute sharpness.
Do you supply these as a set?
Yes. Pick each width from the dropdown and tell us it is a set order; bulk discounts apply on multi-piece and full-set quantities.
Is it supplied sterile?
No. It ships clean and non-sterile, ready for your own cleaning and autoclave cycle at 134 °C before first use.
