Walter Osteotome-Chisel 2 to 12 mm, 19 cm - 7-1/2˝
The Walter osteotome-chisel is a straight-bladed nasal bone chisel used throughout rhinoplasty and maxillofacial bone work, supplied in six widths from 2 mm to 12 mm on a 19 cm shaft. The flattened mid-section stops the blade rolling in the hand, so a 2 mm cut lands exactly where it was started. All six widths on one page: pick yours from the dropdown. Bulk discounts apply on multi-piece and full-set orders.
Why Surgeons Choose It
- Six widths from 2 mm to 12 mm cover fine to wide osteotomies
- Flattened octagonal grip keeps the blade oriented through the strike
- Straight ground bevel starts cleanly on hard nasal and facial cortex
- 19 cm reach suits both intranasal and open approaches
- One-piece forged body transmits mallet force without flex

Built for Repeated Use
Forged and ground from AISI 420 martensitic stainless steel, hardened so even the 2 mm blade keeps its edge and resists bending under the mallet. The satin finish resists staining and cuts glare under operating lights, and the one-piece body has no joint to loosen or trap debris. Full autoclave cycles at 134 °C cause no distortion or pitting.
Direct From the Manufacturer
We manufacture this instrument in our own Sialkot workshop and sell straight to surgeons, clinics, hospitals and distributors, so there is no importer margin in the price. Every piece is inspected and edge-checked before dispatch and carries a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Ask for bulk pricing on multi-piece and full-set orders, and for OEM laser marking on volume quantities.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which widths are used most in rhinoplasty?
2, 3 and 4 mm for lateral and medial osteotomies, 7 to 12 mm for dorsal hump reduction and wider bone cuts. Most surgeons keep at least one narrow and one wide.
How does this differ from the concave and notched edge versions?
This one has a flat straight edge for ordinary cuts. The concave edge hollows the cut; the notched edge straddles a bony spine or septal crest.
Is the 6 mm curved version on this page?
No. The curved blade is a different instrument and has its own page, because a curved edge behaves differently from these straight blades.
Can the edge be resharpened?
Yes, by a competent instrument workshop. The hardened steel regrinds well; keeping the original bevel angle matters more than absolute sharpness.
Do you supply the six widths as a set?
Yes. Pick each width from the dropdown and tell us it is a set order; bulk discounts apply on multi-piece and full-set quantities.
Is it supplied sterile?
No. It ships clean and non-sterile, ready for your own cleaning and autoclave cycle at 134 °C before first use.
