Tungsten Carbide Sternal Wire Twister: 7" / 18 cm

The TC sternal wire twister (7" / 18 cm) twists wire or stainless steel sutures together, most commonly when closing the sternum. The cross-serrated working surface holds the wire firmly and a catch locks the jaws so the wire can be turned.

Lock, Then Twist

With the jaws locked on the wire, the surgeon can twist with both hands free to control the tension. Tungsten carbide jaws stay sharp and hold the wire for longer than plain steel, giving a reliable grip over many cases.
