Cottle Nasal Speculum No. 1 to No. 4, 35 to 90 mm, 14 cm - 5-1/2˝

The Cottle nasal speculum is the standard exposure instrument for septoplasty and rhinoplasty, and all four blade lengths sit on this page: No. 1 at 35 mm through No. 4 at 90 mm, each on a 14 cm handle. The side set screw holds the blades open at a fixed spread so the nasal speculum stays put while both hands work. Pick your figure number from the dropdown. Bulk discounts apply on multi-piece and full-set orders.

Why Surgeons Choose It

  • Four blade lengths from 35 mm to 90 mm cover anterior to deep septal exposure
  • Side set screw locks the spread so the speculum holds itself open
  • Blades are polished inside to slide on mucosa without catching
  • Serrated finger rings keep control through gloves and irrigation
  • Smooth box joint opens evenly, no blade crossing under load

Built for Repeated Use

Forged and ground from AISI 420 martensitic stainless steel, hardened at the joint so the blades stay aligned through years of opening under load. Blade interiors are polished so mucosa slides rather than drags, and the satin handle finish cuts glare. Full autoclave cycles at 134 °C cause no distortion or pitting.

Direct From the Manufacturer

We manufacture this instrument in our own Sialkot workshop and sell straight to surgeons, clinics, hospitals and distributors, so there is no importer margin in the price. Every speculum is opened, screw-tested and alignment-checked before dispatch and carries a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Ask for bulk pricing on multi-piece and full-set orders, and for OEM laser marking on volume quantities.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which figure number should I choose?
No. 1 (35 mm) for anterior work and children, No. 2 (55 mm) for routine septoplasty, No. 3 (75 mm) and No. 4 (90 mm) for deeper septal and posterior exposure. Most surgeons keep at least Nos. 1 and 2.

What does the side screw do?
It locks the blades at a set spread so the speculum holds the nostril open by itself, freeing both of the surgeon’s hands.

How is this different from the Cottle septum speculum?
The septum pattern has longer, narrower blades shaped for working inside the septal pocket. It has its own page in 13 cm and 14 cm.

Will the blades mark the mucosa?
The blade interiors are polished and the edges are rounded, so they spread tissue rather than cut it. Mark the spread with the screw rather than forcing the handles.

Do you supply all four figures as a set?
Yes. Pick each figure from the dropdown and tell us it is a set order; bulk discounts apply on multi-piece and full-set quantities.

Is it supplied sterile?
No. It ships clean and non-sterile, ready for your own cleaning and autoclave cycle at 134 °C before first use.
