Harvesting Cannulas
Fat is harvested from the abdomen, flanks or thighs with blunt multi-port harvesters of about 2.5–4 mm, 20–30 cm long. Good options include the six-port spiral harvester, beveled three-port cannula, Carraway harvester and Becker basket cannula. Donor sites are prepared with an infiltration cannula such as the Coleman infiltration cannula.
Injection Cannulas
Fat is placed in many small deposits through multiple tunnels and planes, so it survives and integrates evenly. Blunt injection cannulas of roughly 2–3 mm, 15–25 cm long, are common for the breast, attached to 10–20 ml Luer lock syringes. A blunt tip lowers the risk of tissue injury. The Fournier pattern cannula and our one central hole cannula are available in these sizes.
