Ballenger Septum Gouge: V-Shaped Blade for Nasal Surgery

The Ballenger septum gouge (16 cm / 6-1/4") is used in nasal reconstructive surgery. A V-shaped cutting blade 2 mm wide sits on a long, slim shaft, with a straight knurled round handle.

Lifting Tissue Off the Bone

The blade has a uniform width and a rounded blunt edge, which helps lift soft tissue from the underlying bone. Other blade widths from 4 mm to 8 mm are available on request.
