Tuffier Rib Spreader: 45 x 45 mm Blades for the Chest

The Tuffier rib spreader opens the chest with a rack-and-pinion mechanism and 45 x 45 mm blades (160 mm). It spreads the ribs smoothly and holds the opening for thoracic surgery.

The Classic Design

Tuffier introduced the rack-and-pinion rib spreader, and the pattern is still a standard on thoracic trays. The compact blades suit smaller incisions and children, while the rack gives fine control of the spread.
