The Gosset abdominal retractor is a self-holding retractor for laparotomy with 58 mm lateral blades and movable side blades on a standard 160 mm spread. It keeps the belly open for examination or inspection, for example in cesarean sections and bowel resection, without an assistant holding the wound edges.
