Diethrich Bulldog Clamp Straight 4.5 to 5.5 cm

The Diethrich bulldog clamp with straight jaws gives atraumatic occlusion on small vessels, in 4.5, 5 and 5.5 cm. The leaf spring is calibrated to hold a micro vascular clamp closed with just enough force to stop flow without crushing intima, which is what separates a usable bulldog clamp from a hemostat. Pick your length from the dropdown. Bulk discounts apply on multi-piece and full-set orders.

Why Surgeons Choose It

  • Calibrated leaf spring occludes without crushing the vessel wall
  • Fine atraumatic serrations grip without cutting intima
  • Three lengths cover the usual micro and small-vessel calibres
  • Straight jaws for in-line occlusion on an exposed vessel
  • One-piece spring body, nothing to loosen or trap debris

Built for Repeated Use

Formed and ground from AISI 420 martensitic stainless steel, spring-tempered so the closing force stays constant through years of use rather than fading. Jaw serrations are cut fine and matched so they meet along their full length. The satin finish resists staining, and full autoclave cycles at 134 °C cause no loss of spring force.

Direct From the Manufacturer

We manufacture this instrument in our own Sialkot workshop and sell straight to surgeons, clinics, hospitals and distributors, so there is no importer margin in the price. Every clamp is closing-force tested and jaw-alignment checked before dispatch and carries a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Ask for bulk pricing on multi-piece and full-set orders, and for OEM laser marking on volume quantities.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which length should I choose?
4.5 cm for the smallest vessels and tight fields, 5 cm for routine micro work, 5.5 cm where a longer jaw gives a better bite. Most micro sets carry all three.

Straight or curved jaws?
Straight for in-line occlusion on a well-exposed vessel. Curved where the clamp has to come in at an angle or sit around a branch; that version has its own page.

Will it damage the intima?
The spring is calibrated to occlude and no more, and the serrations are cut fine and atraumatic. Used within its intended vessel calibre it does not crush the wall.

Does the spring weaken after autoclaving?
No. The steel is spring-tempered, so full cycles at 134 °C do not change the closing force.

Do you supply the three lengths as a set?
Yes. Pick each length from the dropdown and tell us it is a set order; bulk discounts apply on multi-piece and full-set quantities.

Is it supplied sterile?
No. It ships clean and non-sterile, ready for your own cleaning and autoclave cycle at 134 °C before first use.
