Balfour Retractor, 180 mm Spread, With Central Blade

The Balfour abdominal retractor is a self-holding, self-retaining retractor for laparotomy, with a 180 mm maximum spread and a central blade. It holds the wound open on its own and is also used for abdominal surgery such as cesarean sections where the belly must stay open.

Hands-Free Exposure

The side blades spread the wound edges while the central blade lifts the lower edge, giving a wide, stable field without assistants holding hand retractors. The 180 mm spread suits adult patients on standard abdominal trays.
